Biography

Mirna is a software engineer with over a decade of experience in backend development, specializing in Java technologies. Throughout her career, she has worked in industries such as telecommunications, healthcare, financial technology and more recently in the public sector, building scalable and reliable systems while fostering a culture of effective collaboration.

One of her most notable achievements was her contribution in building a stock market from scratch at the Long Term Stock Exchange (LTSE), where she designed and maintained critical microservices, optimized system performance with low latency strategies and integrated the platform with key financial entities such as DTCC and SIPs.

Early in her career, Mirna was recognized multiple times for her achievements as a young developer in the Dominican Republic. Through her work, she seeks to make a positive impact on society and inspire more women to get into technology. She graduated as a Software Development Technologist from ITLA and holds a degree in Information Systems Engineering from UNAPEC.
